Fremantle is a vibrant port city adjacent to Perth, the state’s capital. The city is a renowned tourist destination known for its cosmopolitan atmosphere and rich history, and is surrounded by beautiful heritage buildings, museums, and old relics of maritime origin. Fremantle is also the gateway to a variety of exceptional tourist destinations in Western Australia, being very close to some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, and Rottnest Island, Perth’s own getaway island. To the north is world heritage listed Shark Bay and Monkey Mia, and Coral Bay and Exmouth at Ningaloo Reef. To the south are the world renowned wineries, forests and surf beaches of the Margaret River region. While in Western Australia, we hope you take the opportunity to see at least some of the state’s beautiful sites, and we are organising a number of subsidised travel packages for those wanting to travel north or south after the conference.

The conference will span three days, with talks and posters focusing on current research and management issues for coral reefs, and plenary talks from Australian and International researchers on a range of topical issues. In addition, registration and student travel will be subsidised!

The organising committee intends this to be one of the largest and most enjoyable ACRS conferences, and we extend a warm welcome to a wide range of researchers from institutions across Australia.
